Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group
The Oncology Group is made up of Consultants and trainees with an interest or practice in Paediatric Oncology. The Group meets annually at the Winter Meeting. The Meeting provides a forum for members to be updated about current trials and practice, future trials and discussion about difficult cases. In addition the ÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ/CCLG Oncology Group co-ordinates an annual Paediatric Surgical Oncology Course.
Until 2010 the CCLG was the main body hosting clinical trials in Paediatric Oncology in the UK, either on its own or in conjunction with European and American organisations ( – SIOP) and the (COG). Since 2010, research has primarily been co-ordinated through the (NCRN) and the (NCRI) and their Clinical Studies Groups: the Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group (NCRI – CCLG) and the Sarcoma Study Group (NCRI – SG).
The Group has strong links with the (IPSO) and the (APSA).
The Group provides surgical input/membership of the NCRI- Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group (NCRI-CCLG) and the .

Annual course for surgeons in training ( and / or ‘early career’ consultants ) with venue rotating alternate years in the North and South Regions through the designated UK CCLG surgical host centres.
